19-10-2020Always in our heartsWith great sadness I announce the passing of my beloved father and fifth generation of The Apollo Group, Jack van den Pol.Jack was a great entrepreneur, my dearest mentor and above all a fantastic father. With his vision and passion he successfully ran the company for decades.His enormous positivity, energy, drive and love for the company is still something that is embedded in the nowadays company culture.There was no one who loved life more than my father, his talent to make always the best out of every situation combined with his openness and kind hearted spirit he touched the hearts of many all over the world.He will be missed deeply but will be forever in my memory and heart.

He has been heading up sales at a world leading food ingredient manufacturer and machinery distributor. In his new position, Kevin Suphapvanich will ensure an excellent and optimum service for our customers in the strongly developing Asia Pacific region.In the Asia Pacific region, Apollo is present for many years now with a production facility as well as two sales offices. This way we can develop the future and support our fast growing customers by always being in close contact.

Though I believed in myself, relying on my academic background and previous experience, that I could handle the job.What does ‘Gender Equality’ mean to you in your work life?Having the freedom to voice my opinion and thoughts knowing that people are listening to me, and that I can make a difference. Diversity of people and related opinions contributes to future success of the company.How important is it for women to support each other and what does this mean for you?This is very important.
